Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician – Health Unit Coordinator for the Hillcrest Medical Center. This role supports licensed nurses and handles clerical tasks to ensure smooth unit operations.

The position is full-time, night-shift, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Hillcrest. Responsibilities include data collection, patient care assistance, and maintaining accurate records and communications with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION – HS Diploma/GED Equivalent.
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION – Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Collects and records patient data, reports information to nursing team promptly.
• Records vital signs, height, weight, intake and output; performs finger-stick glucose monitoring.
• Assists with daily activities and mobility; helps with hygiene, dressing, eating and turning.
• Maintains unit records, admissions, surgeries, transfers and discharges, and references in patient charts.
• Greets visitors, answers calls, and assists the nursing staff as needed.
• Maintains supplies, completes reports and participates in unit meetings.
