Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Tech to support RN-supervised basic nursing care. You will assist with vital signs, daily living activities, and patient comfort while maintaining a clean, organized unit.

Excellent multitasking and communication are essential in this fast-paced role. The position offers full-time night hours, with weekend and holiday rotation, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated by an RN.
• Assists with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Demonstrates flexibility and ability to multitask under stress.
• Prioritizes unit workload and communicates with staff and families.
• Acts as liaison between patient care units and other departments.
• Answers calls and relays information to staff/family/patient.
• Manages daily census, admissions, and discharges as needed.
