Endeavor Health’s Evanston Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech to assist RNs in delivering patient care during night shifts. Responsibilities include vital signs, EKGs, IV care, and daily patient support, with per diem, full- or part-time options and employer benefits.

The role requires CNA-trained candidates or nursing clinical rotation experience, plus BLS certification and customer service background. This position emphasizes safety and high-quality patient experiences across units.

Competenze

• Eligible to work in the U.S., and completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required
• 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred

Mansioni

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care
• Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan
• Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
