Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston is seeking a Patient Care Tech to work under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role involves assisting with vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, and routine patient care tasks on a 36-hour full-time schedule with rotating weekends.

Requirements include eligibility to work in the U.S., CNA training or nursing clinical rotation, and current BLS certification. Prior customer service or nursing assistant experience is preferred, with premium pay and benefits

Qualifications

• Education: Eligible to work in the U.S., and completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred
• License: N/A
• Certification: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.
• Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care
• Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan
• Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
