Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech at Evanston Hospital in Illinois. The role supports nursing staff by delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced unit, including vital signs, EKGs, catheter care, and routine duties.

The position is full/part-time with a 32-hour workweek and shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with rotating weekends. Required BLS certification and CNA training are preferred, with 1 year of customer service or nursing assistant experience recommended.

Qualifications

• Education: CNA training is preferred or completion of nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical settings.
• Certification: Current BLS for Healthcare Provider is required.
• Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred or prior nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of a RN to deliver patient care.
• Assist with vital signs, EKGs, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, turning, and hourly rounding.
• Assist with implementing a patient-specific care plan.
• Participate in activities essential to the patient care unit.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and high quality patient experience.
