Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 3ES Medical Surg Unit in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time night shift role (7:00pm–7:30am) requires attending orientation and offers opportunities to contribute to patient care in a busy hospital setting.

The candidate will perform patient care tasks, assist in coordinating activities, and document care while working under RN/LPN supervision. A CNA certification, CPR, and nursing program enrollment are required.

Qualifications

The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of high school.
Completion of an accredited CNA course and certification or EMT/paramedics training or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with at least one major clinical rotation.
Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Enter patient treatments and charges to maintain patient health records.
Assist care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
Communicate with care team, physicians, patients, and families to coordinate resources.
Assist with personal care needs under RN/LPN supervision (bathing, grooming, mobility, hygiene).
Record vital signs, I&O, accu-checks, and report abnormalities; perform procedures under supervision as directed.
