Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Medical Pulmonary Unit on nights in Arlington Heights, IL. This part-time role requires the ability to attend orientation and provides nursing support under supervision.

The position emphasizes patient care, vital signs, basic procedures like EKGs, and documentation in the electronic medical record. CPR certification and CNA/EMT credentials are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• CNA coursework and successful CNA certification exam.
• EMT or paramedics training or enrollment in accredited nursing program with major clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care needs under RN/LPN supervision.
• Monitor vitals, input/output checks, accu-checks and report abnormalities.
• Perform procedures such as EKGs, perineal care, Foley bag care, and other tasks as directed by RN/LPN.
• Document care in electronic medical record and assist with admissions, discharges and transports.
