Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for the IMCU. This part-time night position supports physicians and nurses by providing basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily activities.

Responsibilities include recording vitals, performing EKGs and phlebotomy, and reporting patient changes to the RN. Requires HS diploma; BLS preferred and must be completed within 3 months of hire.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• BLS is preferred and required within 3 months of hire.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to operate as part of a team alongside physicians and nurses.

Responsabilidades

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities.
• Performs post mortem care.
• Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN.
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
• Other related duties as assigned.
