Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Part-Time Night shift Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Post Intensive Care Unit-I at Jersey City Medical Center. You will assist RNs with vital signs, bedside care, and daily activities while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, performing phlebotomy, documenting in the EHR, following infection control protocols, and collaborating with the care team to support care plans from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care for patients.
• Monitor vitals and document in the EHR.
• Maintain infection control protocols and patient safety.
• Provide nursing support and communicate with care team.
• Assist with bedside care such as bathing and mouth care.
• Support CPR/BLS in emergencies.
• Collaborate with RNs to implement care plans.
