Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator for full-time night shifts (3 twelve-hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends. The role combines clerical tasks with direct patient care under a licensed nurse's supervision.

You will collect patient data, record vital signs, assist with mobility and daily activities, manage records, answer calls, and help coordinate care on the unit in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• Strong communication and confidentiality required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records patient data and vital signs for nursing team.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as hygiene, dressing, eating and mobility.
• Maintains unit and patient records and administrative files.
• Answers calls and coordinates with nursing staff using pagers and phones.
• Transports supplies and patients; helps with non-medical tasks as needed.
• Maintains inventory and clean work areas and attends in-services.
