Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator for the Fort Worth area. The role involves handling clerical and patient care tasks under a licensed nurse's supervision, within a Progressive Care Unit setting.

The position supports daily activities for patients, maintains records, and coordinates with nursing staff. The 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week include rotating weekends, with emphasis on teamwork and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year in healthcare settings preferred.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records patient data and vitals.
• Assists with activities of daily living and transport.
• Maintains unit records and coordinates communications.
• Answers call lights promptly and supports nursing staff.
• Performs light duties and ensures clean patient areas.
