Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Per Diem, part-time Night Shift caregiver to support patients under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic clinical tasks in a compassionate team setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and phlebotomy experience for ED positions. Benefits include medical, dental, and retirement options; on-site scheduling and supportive teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Support care team and communicate changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Perform vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, Foley care where applicable; may phlebotomize or perform EKGs if certified.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety issues.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and performance improvement activities.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
