Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA seeks a Patient Care Technician for the night shift (7 PM–7 AM) on the Medicine Unit. This full-time role supports licensed nurses by delivering basic patient care and monitoring patient conditions.

You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, assist with admissions and discharges, and uphold safety practices. The unit features a collaborative nursing team and opportunities for professional growth within Sentara Health.

Qualifications

• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent.
• One of the following programs: Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, US Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic, or current clinical student with prior PCT/Nursing Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a professional nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes and follow patient safety practices.
