Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is hiring a Patient Care Technician (Full-Time, Night Shift). This unlicensed position reports to a professional nurse and assists with delegated nursing tasks, patient observation, admissions and discharge support, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Candidates must have a HS Diploma and one of several certifications (CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, Sentara Care Partner, or equivalent clinical experience).

• Must have a HS Diploma and one of the following certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a professional nurse.
• Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report changes to the nursing staff.
• Support the admissions and discharge processes.
• Adhere to patient safety practices as directed by the nurse.

Sentara Care Partner Certification Program

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)

National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) – US Navy Hospital Corps School

Current clinical student (RN/LPN/RT/PT) – 1+ semester

Recent PCT/Nursing Assistant work (last 3 years)
