Job summary

MelroseWakefield Healthcare is seeking capable Nursing Support staff for night and weekend shifts at MelroseWakefield Hospital. The role provides basic patient care under physician oversight, with EKG duties and documented vitals, hygiene, and mobility assistance.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and either CNA/MA/EMT credentials or nursing student clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CNA/MA/EMT, or nursing student with clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including hygiene, elimination, catheter care, vital signs, and skin care.
• Reinforces belongings policy with patients and families; documents appropriately.
• Provides nutritional support assisting with feedings; documents I&O and weight.
• Performs selected therapeutic procedures as competency allows.
• Cooperates with healthcare team to meet departmental objectives and maintain good relations.
• Sets up equipment for treatments, dressings, tests, etc.
• Performs 12-lead EKG and forwards to nurse or physician promptly.
