Job summary

Responsibilities

• Ensures the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients to their destination.
• Assists patient care staff and uses proper body mechanics when lifting and transferring patients.
• Notifies nursing staff on arrival for patient, verifies patient identification and communicates any distress or equipment issues.
• Completes transport efficiently and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Disinfects transport equipment before and after use and returns equipment to proper location.
