Job summary

MelroseWakefield Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Support role on a 36-hour per week night shift in the Med Surg/Tele unit based in Massachusetts. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, perform basic care tasks, and help with documentation and patient flow on the unit.

This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and BLS certification. Preferred candidates have healthcare experience and patient care familiarity within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Preferred qualifications include nursing service experience and healthcare exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform basic nursing support duties and maintain patient comfort.
• Document care and patient information according to policy.
• Assist with patient hygiene, vital signs, mobility and safety.
• Respond to call lights and communicate patient needs promptly.
• Adhere to infection control and safety procedures on the unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to support unit operations.
