Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Patient Care Technician for night shift. Under the supervision of a nurse, you perform routine patient activities and delegated care procedures with developmental considerations as competency documentation designates.

You will assist patients with dressing, transport, and monitoring, report abnormal findings, verify information, and help orient patients and families to the hospital environment. CNAs with BLS are required.

Formación

• CNA certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of clinical experience required or successful completion of the intern program.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patients with changing/dressing.
• Transport patients by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings that could adversely affect surgical and patient outcomes.
• Report all abnormal findings to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Assist with patient changing and removal of belongings (jewelry, dentures, etc.).
• Verifies patient information.
• Orients patients and families to the environment.
• Obtains vital signs.
