Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking patient care techs to join a dynamic Acute Care Transition Team within the Emergency Department. You will provide inpatient nursing support under physician and nurse direction, focusing on safe, seamless patient transitions and improved flow.

Ideal applicants have a high school diploma, BLS, and healthcare experience; certification as a patient care tech or CNA is a plus. The role offers a 24-hour weekly night shift with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Certified patient care or nursing assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living under nurse direction.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and maintain a clean environment.
• Transport patients and assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Operate equipment safely and collect specimens.
• Maintain accurate patient data and observe sitter guidelines.
