Job summary

Join Lowell General's Acute Care Transition Team through Tufts Medicine's Community RN pathway. Levels I–IV reflect RN experience from 0+ months to 8+ years, with evenings, 24 hours – holiday and weekend commitment.

As an inpatient RN in the Emergency Department, provide expert care, partner with multidisciplinary teams, and drive safe transitions. You’ll design discharge plans, apply evidence-based practice, and grow professionally while staying at the top of your license.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Department-specific certifications may be required.
• Experience varies by level (I–IV).

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Evaluates and integrates evidence-based practice into care.
• Conducts and documents accurate clinical assessments.
• Develops and evaluates the patient care plan.
• Uses nursing judgment to tailor care to patient needs.
• Manages patient assignment and delegates tasks.
• Develops discharge plans with community referrals.
• Precepts and mentors new staff when needed.
• Engages in professional development and committee work.
