Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to join the Acute Care Transition Team in the Emergency Department. You will provide expert inpatient nursing care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, seamless transitions from the ED to inpatient care.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and top-of-license nursing autonomy. The position offers evening, night, and mixed shifts with part-time and full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Department-specific certifications may be required.
• Experience level corresponds to Level I–IV based on RN experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and document findings.
• Coordinate comprehensive discharge planning and patient education.
• Mentor and precept new staff and support department staff development.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and departmental committees.
