Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking patient care techs to support acute inpatient care on the Acute Care Transition Team. You will partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, seamless patient transitions while awaiting an inpatient bed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS; preferred candidates have healthcare or CNA-related experience and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Certified patient care, clinical assistant or CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under nurse direction, perform activities of daily living and patient care.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and ensure safety.
• Maintains clean, safe patient environment.
• Prioritize care per nursing direction and discharge plan.
• Transport patients to procedures and discharge as directed.
• Operate equipment safely; assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Record patient data accurately and timely.
• Provide patient sitter services and maintain observation per guidelines.
• Provide clerical support and greet visitors professionally.
• Answer phones and route calls appropriately.
• Enforce department access and security policies.
