Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience OR CNA graduate with course in EKG & Phlebotomy and PCT cert eligible with at least 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required on entry; must complete PCT online program within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional nurse in patient care tasks and support unit operations.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and environment to support safe care.
• Contribute to patient/family data for Quality and Performance Improvement programs.
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge procedures and respond to patient needs.
