Job summary

Mercy Health in Perrysburg is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to provide direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. The role focuses on patient comfort, monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility and daily activities, and ensuring accurate documentation in accordance with policy.

The ideal candidate will have recent acute care experience, BLS certification, and completion of a nursing aide program or equivalent.

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support certification required.
• Nursing aide training program or CNA/STNA or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s/High school diploma or GED with relevant clinical exposure may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN or healthcare professional.
• Report patient changes and needs to nursing staff.
• Maintain high-level patient and family service and document care accurately.
• Assist with mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities.
• Perform delegated tasks after competency validation.
