Job summary

Mass General Brigham is hiring a Patient Care Associate for Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA. This night shift role (7pm–7:30am) is 24 hours per week and combines direct patient care with clerical, supply, and messenger duties.

The PCA may serve as a patient care observer for safety and will operate under nursing supervision on the unit. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and relevant healthcare or nursing assistant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Nursing/Medical assistant certification or nursing student with 6 months of clinical experience.
• 6 months to 1 year nursing assistant experience.
• 1–3 years secretarial experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and handle stress effectively.
• Demonstrated typing skills and computer experience.
• Interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and non-direct patient care duties as needed.
• Assist with unit duties, clerical, supply, and messenger tasks.
• May act as patient care observer for safety when required.
• Telemetry/critical care duties and competency maintenance as applicable.
