Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus, United States, is seeking a patient care auxiliary to support physicians and nurses during night shifts. You will perform EKGs, phlebotomy, vital signs, wound care, and assist with crutch fitting under supervision, following approved policies and procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and either recent hospital experience or current credentialing (CMA/NCCT/AMT/EMT) or nursing student status with BLS within 90 days

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification required.
• Recent hospital experience or active credentialing (CMA/NCCT/AMT/EMT) approved by Valley; or enrolled nursing student with BLS within 90 days.
• Experience in phlebotomy/EKG and basic emergency care preferred; familiarity with hospital equipment and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care including EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Assist with wound care and recording vital signs.
• Perform materials management and equipment maintenance per policies.
• Assist with correct crutch fitting and post-suture dressings.
