Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a part-time Night Shift Care Assistant to support patient care under supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient safety, perform essential administrative tasks, and collaborate with the care team to maintain a calm, organized environment.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and relevant healthcare exposure; CPR certification and state registry requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND one of the following criteria must be met.
• Completion of medical/surgical or equivalent clinical rotation from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited program.
• Listed on Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA (reciprocity within 180 days if out of state).
• Listed on Ohio or National Emergency Medical Services Registry.
• 1+ years of patient care experience within the last three years.
• Requires CPR training and maintenance of certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care: provide approved care and assist with interventions under RN supervision.
• Communication: document status and changes; maintain patient records and report concerns.
• Environment: keep division areas safe, organized, and compliant with infection control.
• Administrative Support: respond to alarms, answer calls, assemble charts and stock supplies.

Education

ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited clinical rotation

Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA

Ohio or National EMS Registry

1+ years patient care experience
