Haywood Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the 7p-7a PCU/Telemetry unit in Clyde, NC. You will work in a 22-bed unit with RN supervision, handling vital signs, ADLs, and telemetry support.

Join our team to provide compassionate care, support throughput, and participate in performance improvement initiatives in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Registered in NC as a CNAI within 6 months of completing training.
• License: CNA or EMT preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and documenting intake/output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
• Observes and reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and stocked.
• Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
• Documents care and activities per unit standards.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; performs other duties as assigned.
