Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Telemetry Tech to join our Progressive Care/Telemetry unit in Clyde, NC. You will monitor multiple cardiac monitors, identify arrhythmias, and communicate findings to nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care during nights.

Qualified candidates hold EMT/ CNA/ SRNA/ CMA certificates, BLS, and telemetry-related training. A high school diploma is required, with telemetry certification within a year of hire.

Qualifications

• EMT/EMT-P, CNA, SRNA, or CMA certifications required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Telemetry Certification within 1 year of hire.
• Evidence of Telemetry/Dysrhythmia training may be required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
• Reports abnormal telemetry findings to nursing staff.
• Tests equipment for proper working order and reports problems to supervisor.
