Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Boston is seeking a dedicated CNA/PCT to provide patient care on the night shift. You will perform routine rounds, assist with activities of daily living, and monitor patients under RN supervision.

This role requires strong bedside skills, adherence to safety and infection control, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team. The position offers full-body patient support in a busy inpatient unit.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or current Nursing Student who has completed Fundamentals of Nursing or equivalent clinical rotation.
• Ability to speak, read and write English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements (height, weight, intake/output).
• Ability to push, transfer and lift heavy loads per unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 monitoring as a patient observer when required.
• Perform routine patient room rounds and address patient needs.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer processes.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures; adhere to hospital policies.
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Communicate with RN and nursing leadership about patient status and needs.
• Maintain patient rooms in an orderly and clean condition.
