Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Adult Inpatient Medicine unit (Bigelow 14) with a 36-hour week on a 3×12 night schedule (7:00 pm–7:00 am). The role supports patients with daily living activities and vital signs, with onsite work at 90 Blossom Street.

Qualifications include High School Diploma or Equivalent, BLS, Nursing Assistant/ CMA certification preferred, and 0–1 year of patient-care experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• BLS and CMA/ Nursing Assistant certs preferred
• Experience 0–1 year preferred
• Onsite work location at Mass General Brigham

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes and outputs with accuracy
• Completes documentation in the medical record
• Interacts with patients and families effectively
• Helps patients with bathing, dressing, eating and basic hygiene tasks
• Assists with turning and repositioning patients and transfers
• Reports health concerns to nurses as needed
