Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. in Boston is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support daily living activities, take vital signs, and assist with basic patient care during the night shift.

You will document care in the electronic medical record, work with licensed staff, and help ensure compassionate, high-quality patient care. The role requires lifting up to 35 pounds and strong communication skills; pay ranges from $20.58 to $26.58 per hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Experience substitution for degree not accepted
• BLS Certification required
• Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) preferred
• Massachusetts EMT-Paramedic preferred
• New Hampshire Nursing Assistant preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding).
• Assists with turning and repositioning patients and aiding mobility.
• Reports health concerns to nurses.
