Job summary

Corewell Health's 2SE Med Surg Care Unit in Grosse Pointe is seeking an Observer/Nurse Aide to assist with patient care, transport, and documentation. You will support the plan of care and ensure patient safety under RN supervision.

The position is full-time, night shift, with variable days and every-other weekend. Prior hospital or nursing home experience and BLS/CPR certification are preferred; CNA credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care and unit policies.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation or remote monitoring.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
