Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit 6NW at Royal Oak Hospital. The role involves providing patient care under RN supervision, safe patient transport, and accurate documentation in the EMR. Sign-on bonus of up to $1500 is offered for this full-time night-shift opportunity.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, BLS certification, and either completed NA training or at least one year of NA experience. NA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support.
• Preferred completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience.
• Preferred Nursing Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services.
• Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring.
• Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
• Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.
