Job summary

AHN Neighborhood Hospital in Brentwood/Bra Pittsburgh is seeking a Patient Access Specialist/Front Office for the night shift (7P-7A). You will facilitate patient intake, verify demographics, and secure financial responsibility to maximize hospital reimbursement.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with care teams. Shift differentials, 401K match, referrals, and free parking are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of patient registration and insurance verification experience preferred.
• Emergency Department registration experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare, Medicaid) and payors required.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent customer service.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) knowledge preferred.
• Fluency in English; Spanish required in the El Paso market.

Responsibilities

• Verify demographic information and collect out-of-pocket responsibility.
• Verify insurance benefits and authorizations where applicable.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer inquiries.
• Maintain registration information, scan documents, and coordinate transfers.
• Maintain cash drawer and logs.
• Assist medical staff and front desk operations.
