Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare seeks a Patient Access Representative for the third shift. The role handles scheduling, pre-certification, benefit verification, and patient interviews in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will determine financial responsibility, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate EPIC data entry. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in coordinating with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge of the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology ICD-10 and CPT Coding.
• Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships.
• Basic analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle challenging customers professionally.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-certification, benefit verification and pre-certification processes.
• Explain hospital policies and financial responsibilities to patients and guarantors.
• Enter demographic and financial data accurately in the EPIC system.
• Determine estimated patient financial responsibility and collect self-pay amounts at registration.
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing, and staff to ensure proper patient entry and scheduling.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
