Job summary

AdventHealth in Lake Wales, FL seeks a PRN Night Shift access associate to perform Medicare compliance reviews, patient registration, and billing tasks. You will coordinate with utilization management and insurers to secure pre-authorizations and ensure accurate patient information.

Strong customer service, HIPAA compliance, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are highly valued. This role supports multiple departments and contributes to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bilingual – English/Spanish is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional communication required.
• Advanced understanding of insurance knowledge and benefits.
• Adherence to HIPAA privacy rules and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed.
• Creates accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects payments or establishes payment plans.
• Coordinates with utilization management for pre-authorization issues and ensures patients have necessary information.
• Registers patients for all services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplicate records.
• Provides coverage for PBX (Switchboard) as needed and performs cashiering functions.
