Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with billing, financial screening, insurance verification, collections, and/or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, benefits, and authorization requirements for all services.
• Screen patient for financial responsibility and possible cash collections.
• Determine potential reimbursement sources and direct patients to financial assistance programs.
• Determine and collect appropriate deposit.
• Facilitate referrals/prior authorizations.
• Eligibility determination of third party programs.
• Provide accurate and current information to patients, physicians, nurses, and health care professionals to maximize reimbursement.
