St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Paramedic to work nights in the Emergency Department. This part-time role offers a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to pediatric care excellence.

The role involves triage, invasive procedures under supervision, and collaboration with RN/ER physicians to deliver high-quality emergency services. A minimum of two years in emergency care and current paramedic credentials are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of emergency/trauma care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Paramedic, ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• PALS and Trauma Nurse Core Course preferred.

Responsabilités

• Documents initial and updated assessments; triage and assign trauma patients.
• Performs IV and catheter placements, tests, treatments and sedations as directed by supervising clinician.
• Maintains certifications and training for emergency response; assists with disaster/crisis response and collaborates with first responders.
• Prioritizes and provides care for medical, trauma and mental health patients across acuity levels.
• Performs routine equipment function tests and calibrations; assists with maintenance and inventory of supplies.
• Supports safety-sensitive requirements in a high-alert environment.
