Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo seeks a dedicated EMT-P Paramedic to join the Trauma Emergency Center. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, following hospital policies and procedures, and assess patients across pediatric to geriatric populations.

The role is part-time (24 hours weekly) with 12-hour night shifts and benefits including a sign-on and retention bonuses. Relevant licenses and certifications are required on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience required.
• Successful completion of an accredited paramedic program required.
• Three (3) years’ experience as a Paramedic in a pre-hospital setting preferred.
• Currently licensed as a EMT–P (Paramedic) in Michigan.
• BCLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• PALS required within 1 year of hire (preferred).
• PHTLS preferred, maintained or required after hire.
• BTLS preferred, maintained or acquired after hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Excellent communication in customer service skills required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform direct patient care in Trauma & Emergency Center.
• Provide care based on policies and procedures approved by Bronson Methodist Hospital.
• Assess pediatric to geriatric patients per guidelines and competencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and safety per hospital policy.
