Job summary

Southern Champion Tray LLC is seeking a Packer Technician to support the operator or apprentice in safely setting up, maintaining, and operating the auto-packer and related packaging equipment. The role involves feeding product into the gluer and packing finished goods into cases on a high-speed line.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety and 5S standards, and effective communication with team members. Night shift runs 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM at the Amnicola Plant in Chattanooga, TN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical ability and skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and troubleshoot the auto-packer and assist with the gluer setup.
• Feed product into the gluer and pack finished product into cases.
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Monitor equipment and report issues to supervisor.
• Follow 5S and Food Safety practices and wear PPE as required.
