Job summary

Southern Champion Tray in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Packer Technician to support the Operator or Apprentice by safely setting up, maintaining, and operating the auto-packer to meet target speeds. You will feed product into the gluer and pack finished goods into cases, ensuring efficient operation of the equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and mechanical ability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have basic computer skills and possess ability to utilize software.
• Must have mechanical ability and skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot the auto-packer, will assist the gluer operator in some portions of the gluer set-up.
• Setup, maintain, and operate pack assist, case sealer, labeler, and automation (Some equipment is specific to work location).
• Responsible for setting up, replenishing tape, and troubleshooting the case sealer.
• Assists in quality sampling of product.
