Job summary

Southern Champion Tray is hiring a Packer Technician to support operators and apprentices in safely setting up, maintaining, and running the auto-packer to achieve target speeds. You will feed product into the gluer and pack finished goods into cases, ensuring efficient operation of packaging lines.

Responsibilities include setup and troubleshooting of the auto-packer, assisting with gluer setup, quality sampling, data entry, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in accordance with 5S and Food

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination.
• Basic computer skills and ability to utilize software.
• Mechanical ability and skills.
• Must read/write and understand English and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot the auto-packer; assist gluer setup as needed.
• Feed product into the gluer and pack finished product into cases; oversee auto-packer operation.
• Assist in quality sampling and data entry; interface with the control panel.
• Maintain a clean work area per Food Safety and 5S policies; follow safety guidelines.
