Job summary

SunOpta, Inc. is seeking a dedicated operator for the Midlothian, TX plant. The role involves operating Downline Packaging equipment, performing quality checks, and supporting maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production on a 12-hour night shift.

You will liaise with the production team to ensure smooth handoffs and cleanliness. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate records and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must adhere to GMPs, safety procedures and sanitation protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues.
• Able to stand for 12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Strong record-keeping and handwriting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and learn Downline Packaging equipment including Cap Applicator, Cardboard Case Packer, Accumulators, and basic coders.
• Ensure efficient operation of distribution equipment and support maintenance.
• Follow instructions to meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Maintain safety, quality and plant communications for shift performance.
• Fill in for vacations or absences as needed.
• Perform quality checks and clear jams to ensure standards.
• Assist maintenance techs and mechanics with routine tasks.
• Monitor WIP and raw materials to ensure production flow.
