Job summary

SunOpta in Midlothian, TX is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan and manage daily resource allocation, including equipment, people, and materials, to meet performance targets while upholding safety, quality, hygiene, and SOPs.

You will lead shift meetings, review production data, and mentor team members, coordinating with QA, maintenance and warehouse to ensure on-time shipment and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related field is required.
• 5–7 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field is preferred.
• Bi-Lingual Spanish is preferred.
• LEAN Manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS PowerPoint; Oracle experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Achieves budgeted targets for raw material yield, labor, and packaging materials usage for shift.
• Responsible for the accuracy of all production reporting related to shift.
• Schedule and conduct daily production meetings with shift personnel.
• Audit's workstations to ensure SOPs are being followed routinely.
• Collaborating with warehouse and quality assurance personnel to ensure prompt shipment of product.
• Responsible for the complete and accurate reporting of shift production data.
• Maintaining GMP / Housekeeping at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.
