Job summary

SunOpta, Inc. is seeking a Downline Operator I to support the packaging line at the Midlothian, TX plant. You will learn and operate downstream packaging equipment, assist with coders, and ensure quality and efficiency across shifts.

This role requires adherence to GMPs, HACCP, and SQF standards, plus strong teamwork and reliable attendance. Day-to-day tasks include setup, troubleshooting, and assisting maintenance while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Strong hygiene and attendance.
• Basic math and computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and learn the Downline Packaging equipment including Cap Applicator, Cardboard Case Packer, Accumulators, and learn basic functionality of the coders.
• Ensure efficient operation of distribution equipment and support maintenance activities on a consistent basis.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met.
• Assume responsibility for safety, quality and effective communication relevant to shift and plant performance.
• Fills in for vacations and or covers if other employees are absent.
