Job summary

S&D Coffee in Concord, NC is seeking a Production Lead - Specialty to supervise packaging operations and ensure targets and quality standards are met. You will manage workloads, coordinate with warehousing, and provide hands-on leadership on night shift.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with manufacturing systems, and the ability to train packaging staff. You will work closely with supervisors to maintain safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Food or beverage industry experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with Windows Office, Adobe Illustrator, TOPS, JD Edwards, and Spec Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure packaging lines operate efficiently.
• Coordinate movement of product between manufacturing and warehousing.
• Release work orders to packing lines based on the schedule.
• Assign labor to packing lines per schedule and capabilities.
• Serve as a Qualified Trainer as needed.
• Support shift transitions for smooth personnel changes.
• Field packaging operator questions and involve supervisor for complex issues.
• Perform administrative shift/production tasks as assigned.
• Triage maintenance calls from packaging lines.
• Fill in as Supervisor during vacations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
