Job summary

Southern Champion Tray LLC in Chattanooga, TN is hiring a packaging operator to safely pack product glued on the machine and maintain quality at target speeds. This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety, 5S and food safety practices.

The successful candidate will perform secondary packing tasks, monitor product quality, feed machines when needed, and communicate issues to supervisors while keeping downtime to a minimum.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must have basic computer skills and ability to use software.
• Must read, understand and write English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Safely pack product glued on the machine to meet target speeds.
• Pack cartons and ensure correct case counts.
• Sort defective parts and communicate issues to supervisors/lead.
• Assist with feeding and maintaining hopper loads for the gluer machine.
• Maintain clean work environment following Food Safety and 5S standards.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE as required.
