Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Batavia, IL seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead drivers and hourly staff, ensure customer requirements are met, and drive continuous improvement. You will supervise daily tasks, coordinate loading/unloading, and manage performance with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role offers a 3rd shift schedule (Wed-Sat, 6 PM–6 AM), a base salary of $65,000–$80,000 with a bi-weekly $205 shift differential, bonus eligibility, and an excellent benefits plan.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with associates and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Must demonstrate ownership and responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and hourly workforce to meet customer objectives.
• Provide leadership for daily tasks including deliveries and loading.
• Manage performance, coaching, and disciplinary actions up to written warnings.
• Participate in hiring and customer meetings as needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Plan work assignments to optimize fleet utilization.
• Monitor attendance and productivity; provide coaching and feedback.
• Complete records and reports timely and accurately.
