Job summary

Pitney Bowes in Las Vegas, NV is hiring an Assistant Operations Manager for the 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, 9:45 PM to 6:15 AM. You will oversee production schedules, manage staffing, and ensure cost per unit while maintaining quality.

The role requires 2 years of progressive production experience with 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity in a high-volume center. You will monitor USPS requirements, prepare reports, and drive safety, efficiency, and reliable transportation of client mail.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience demonstrating progressively more responsibility in a production environment
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience in an Operating Center averaging 5 million+ pieces per week with a 24-hour operating cycle
• Ability to analyze and interpret USPS postal regulations
• Ability to prepare reports and effectively present information to managers, customers and employees
• Knowledge of PC software including Excel and database applications
• Ability to promote a safe work environment per OSHA regulations
• Knowledge of supervisory techniques to motivate and train personnel
• Knowledge of management practices and strong leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor production schedules and capacity to determine daily/weekly requirements for equipment and people resources while maintaining cost per unit and quality control
• Monitor and adjust sort schemes per USPS changes or to improve production efficiency
• Measure and monitor production KPIs and take action where necessary
• Assure completion and accuracy of USPS/internal reports and job costing reports
• Develop and maintain USPS-PSI relationships
• Understand USPS regulation changes or new technology initiatives
• Analyze mail volumes and postage trends to increase PSI discounts or reduce postage expense
• Ensure secure, safe transport of client mail and timely delivery/pickup as required
